Swimming, Crafts, and Barefoot Landing

For our second day of vacation, we just decided to still take it easy (I don't generally believe in stressful vacations :-P  We swam, we made crafts, we played games, and we did a little of the "tourist" stuff by visiting Barefoot Landing :-)
The Resort sponsored a craft class, and the girls made some beautiful picture frames with paints and seashells :-)
Great souvenirs of their first beach vacation!
Ganging up on big brother!
Practically empty pools are another perk of vacationing off-season!
The kids are under the big splash at the kiddie pool :-P
Lazy River...Jeremy's favorite activity ;-)
One of the teachers at Heritage Christian School recommended that we visit Barefoot Landing at North Myrtle Beach. It was fun despite the almost empty walkways, bridges, and stores. This place must be CRAZY in the summer! However, we enjoyed it on this crisp, autumn evening :-)
We spent quite awhile in the candy store watching the guy make saltwater taffy. The machine he was using was 94 years old! Fascinating! Of course, we HAD to buy some taffy ;-)
This was the PURPLE store :-) Everything in the store is the same color :-P Wow...Why couldn't we think of that!
We topped off the evening with ice cream :-) Oh yea!
