An Evening on Myrtle Beach

Our first full day on vacation was mainly spent organizing for the week, shopping for groceries, and looking at brochures of activities in the area. However, everyone agreed that we just HAD to go to the beach this evening. With growing up in Texas and living a few years in Florida, it still amazes me that our younger kids really haven't been to the beach much...maybe once that they can remember! So, one of the reasons for the locale of this vacation is to allow the "little ones" some time near the Ocean :-)
The girls enjoyed finding seashells :-)
At first, they were a little cautious of the waves,
but it didn't take long to get a bit more adventurous!
Soon, they were jumping in like the best of them!
It was too chilly for the "big" people to step foot in the water, but the little ones thought that playing in the Atlantic Ocean was completely worth the little chill they all experienced ;-)
Jeremy was quite content to just hang out on the sand ;-)
What a lovely view of the ocean, of the pier, of the blue sky, and of the JELLYFISH on the beach! :-P
What an odd creature!
It was a such a pleasant evening and a great start to a long-anticipated vacation!
I can't wait to experience the rest of the week :-D

  2. When we lived in Indonesia we live on a beach littered with dead (but still poisonous) jelly fish. They really are weird.
