Dreaming of RVs!!

For this school year, we're going to try and take a field trip each week. This week we decided to drive north of Baltimore and attend the Maryland RV Show on the State Fairgrounds in Timonium, MD. It might not have been historically educational, but we had a BLAST!! As some of you know, we've dreamed of full-time RV living. We've been talking about it since Alyssa was still in single-digits :-) Maybe it's a draw to a simpler, less expensive lifestyle. Maybe it's a desire to live in a more country/natural environment. Maybe it's just a love of adventure! For whatever the reason, we are seriously hoping to put our dreams into action in a couple of years and take the plunge! (Jeremy wants no part of RV-living, so we'll spare him the adventure and remain in our "sticks and bricks" home until he graduates high school and goes off the college) ;-)

So, we spent all day looking at a variety of RVs at the Maryland RV Show. The kids definitely have their opinions on what kind of RV they want to live in and help us greatly in making decisions.
There are so many different bunkhouse styles. The kids agree that they like the separate room instead of having to sleep on the dining table (made into a bed) or on the couch folded out. We like the idea of them having a place to call their own. We want them to be comfortable in their home on wheels ;-)
We looked at tons of Class A RVs (the bus-style), but we really don't like them for full-time living. It works out well for some people, but personally, we prefer something with a bunkhouse.
This is probably our favorite model. The kids are sitting on the couch in "their" room. It had a great wardrobe for storage (and a TV), and the room (with 2 slide-outs) was HUGE!!
This is a picture of our favorite RV (a fifth wheel bunkhouse).
It is simply GORGEOUS!!
