On Thursday we enjoyed our 4 free Waterpark passes that we earned by putting up with Terri, our very annoying Timeshare saleslady, on Tuesday morning. We said we weren't interested, and they really didn't pressure us to reconsider. However, Terri's confrontational personality made the 3-hour presentation and tour a burden to endure, and we all definitely felt like we EARNED our free passes. So...with our passes and our military discount, our family walked into the Massanutten Waterpark for $35 :-D The original price would have be $195!!
We decided to spend a relaxing day at this 88,000 square feet indoor/outdoor waterpark. Open from 10am-10pm, we slept in a bit and then hit the park around 1pm. We ate in the condo before we left, and I packed a picnic that we ate in the van (literally) closer to dinnertime. We ended up staying until closing. Good times!
This is a look at the Waterpark from the Restaurant on the 3rd floor of the building.
Can you say AMAZING?!
Gary enjoyed the Lazy River most of all ;-)
Of course, he wasn't the only one that enjoyed it ;-)
Christopher stood in line for almost an hour to ride the FlowRider!
He did GREAT!! :-D
I think one of the favorite activities of the waterpark was getting other people extra wet with the numerous hoses, cones, and buckets that are conveniently placed in the Park. The girls got into it! Of course, Mom and Dad weren't really innocent of this pasttime either ;-) Gary spent quite a bit of time squirting everyone, and yes, I, Ronda, am the one that accidently squirted a baby :-P
The kids thought it was completely worth climbing 63 steps to get to the top of this waterslide for a friendly sibling competition ;-)
Guess who won! ;-)
The Wave Pool was really cool!
The kids were able to put life jackets on and fully enjoy the large waves!
It was a little chilly outside, but Emily still enjoyed her resting time after the Wave Pool :-)
The Massanutten Waterpark is a terrific place to go hang out for the day! We ALL got a chance to act like kids, and overall, we had a WONDERFUL time!! :-D
I just had a minute to read your blog! What fun this whole vacation seemed. Beautiful, relaxing, and educational all in one!! :)
